Jim has more than 30 years of experience in the real estate industry and he has a strong concentration in Surplus and Bankruptcy Disposition.

His clients have included, but are not limited to, Best Buy, Office Depot, Hechinger/Builders Square, Kimco/Ames Department Stores, Long John Silver’s, Service Merchandise, Silo/Fretter, TJX Companies, and Tops Supermarkets.  Additionally, Mr. Morton has extensive experience in the disposition of warehouse and industrial properties.

In addition to disposition services, Mr. Morton has worked on national accounts in regard to new store site selection and securing non-retail real estate for Retailers such as distribution centers and call centers.  Prior to entering the industry Mr. Morton worked as a City Planner.

Currently, Mr. Morton works exclusively on the Advance Auto Parts Stores team providing lease restructuring and special project services.

Mr. Morton is a graduate of Miami University with a B.S. in Geography / Urban Studies.  He is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.  Mr. Morton has been called upon to give State of the Industry addresses for Northeast Ohio at industry conventions.
